Reviewing types of water treatment systems

Homeowners often disregard concerns related to water safety. Contamination of water sources, including groundwater, should be taken seriously.   3. Granular Activated Carbon (GAC). The third one on this list is Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) systems, which are used for absorbing chemicals and getting rid of radon. The system contains a filter tank, which contains activated carbon. The contaminants, including radon, get attached to the carbon particles and are removed from the water. 
  4. Arsenic adsorption treatment. Arsenic poisoning is one of the bigger concerns related to water, and thankfully, there are advanced arsenic adsorption treatments available. These systems have been designed to remove both Arsenic III and Arsenic V found in water. 
  5. Ultraviolet Water Purification. If you are looking for a good system for water disinfection and purification, UV systems are a good choice. As water gets inside the purifier, it is exposed to UV light, which gets rid of bacteria and germs. Ultraviolet Water Purification systems are one of the better options for most homes. 
  6. Aeration systems. The Aeration system is typically used to get rid of water in well water. If your water source contains a radon level of 4,000 pCi/L or above, such a treatment system can be considered. As the system aerates the water, radon and gases are bubbled and vented outside the water source.
